GEO-POWER-EU Researcher and Senior Associate Dr. Kurt Bassuener (Democratization Policy Council -DPC) has published a new opinion piece in Balkan Insight examining findings from the GEO-POWER-EU Public Opinion Survey, ahead of the 30th anniversary of the Dayton Peace Agreement.

In his article, Dr. Bassuener analyzes how public sentiment across the Western Balkans reflects persistent challenges to democratic governance, accountability, and regional stability. He highlights growing public frustration with entrenched political elites and declining confidence in international engagement, emphasizing the need for renewed and principled Western involvement.
