GEO-POWER-EU Researcher Omar Memišević Examines Data Challenges in Bosnia and Herzegovina in New Analysis: “Data Knowns and Unknowns in Bosnia and Herzegovina”

Omar Memišević, researcher at GEO-POWER-EU Project and associate at the Democratization Policy Council, has published a new blog post titled “Data Knowns and Unknowns in Bosnia and Herzegovina” as part of our ongoing GEO-POWER-EU blog series, which draws on the  GEO-POWER-EU’s Interdependence Database.

In this analysis, Memišević reflects on the complex process of collecting data on Bosnia and Herzegovina’s international engagements. He highlights the country’s fragmented institutional framework, systemic archival shortcomings, and limited human capacity, which make even basic data difficult to access. Drawing from both quantitative trends and qualitative field experience, the author explores how the Database helps reveal broader trends in Bosnia and Herzegovina’s path toward EU integration, international security cooperation, and institutional development.
