Organization Summary

Established in 1998, the Georgian Foundation for Strategic and International Studies (Rondeli Foundation) is an independent, non-profit policy think tank dedicated to helping improve public policy decision-making in Georgia through research and analysis, training of policymakers and policy analysts, and public education about the strategic issues, both domestic and international, facing Georgia and the Caucasus in the 21st century. The activities of the Foundation are aimed at promoting democracy and enhancing regional cooperation.

Tata Gelashvili

Tata Gelashvili holds the role of Project Communication Coordinator within the GEO-POWER-EU project. She works as Public Relations Manager at the Georgian Foundation for Strategic and International Studies (GFSIS), where she manages the organization’s digital presence and supports the promotion of research-based work in international affairs. Her work includes content development, media outreach, and communication across multiple platforms. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in International Relations and Diplomacy from Caucasus University and completed an academic exchange at Lille Catholic University in France. Her professional interests lie in strategic communication in international affairs, with additional experience in policy-oriented institutions and civic initiatives.

Kakha Gogolashvili

Kakha Gogolashvili is the Director of EU Studies at the Georgian Foundation for Strategic and International Studies (Rondeli Foundation). He holds a degree from Tbilisi State University (MA in Economics, PhD researcher in Journalism) and a CRI in International Relations from the Diplomatic School of Madrid. He has more than 30 years of experience working in academic and scientific institutions and think tanks as a researcher and lecturer in the fields of European Integration, European Security, International Relations, Economics, and Peacebuilding. He spent 11 years in the foreign service, holding high diplomatic positions including Deputy and Acting Head of Mission to the EU, Director of the Department for Relations with the EU, Deputy Director for Foreign Economic Relations, among others. He holds the diplomatic rank of Minister Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary. Over the past 20 years, he has been actively involved in European Integration-related policies through numerous international projects. He also takes part in international scientific cooperation projects studying transformation in Eastern Europe and the democratization of the EU’s Eastern Neighbourhood. He regularly conducts trainings for government officials, journalists, and civil society. He is the author of numerous scientific and analytical articles and policy papers, and is Co-Chairman of the EU-Georgia Civil Society Platform established by the EU-Georgia Association Agreement.
