GEO-POWER-EU findings were presented at the 2nd International Winter School on Disinformation in Odesa, organised by Odesa I. I. Mechnikov National University
On 27–29 January 2026, a consortium member of the GEO-POWER-EU project, Odesa I. I. Mechnikov National University (ONU), organised the 2nd International Winter School on Disinformation, that held online by the Odesa Centre for Disinformation Studies.
The programme drew on research conducted within the GEO-POWER-EU project, including findings from the case study “Anti-European Disinformation in Ukraine during the Euromaidan Period and the Full-Scale War of Russia against Ukraine.” The study was presented by Yuliia Tarasiuk, Lecturer at ONU and Research Fellow at the Odesa Centre for Disinformation Studies. The presentation analysed the evolution of anti-European narratives, their adaptation in digital environments, and their broader societal impact in the context of hybrid information warfare.
The Winter School strengthened theoretical and practical understanding of disinformation through academic lectures, methodological approaches, and case studies. The programme featured international scholars from universities and research institutions across Europe and beyond, covering analytical frameworks, thematic content analysis, framing, and the weaponisation of digital information.
