GEO-POWER-EU at the 18th Pan-European Conference on International Relations

The GEO-POWER-EU project was represented at the 18th Pan-European Conference on International Relations (EISA PEC 2025), held at the University of Bologna from 25–29 August 2025.

Associate Professor Panagiota Manoli (University of the Peloponnese) presented a co-authored paper with the GEO-POWER-EU PI, Professor Nikolaos Tzifakis (University of the Peloponnese), entitled: “The War in Ukraine as a Critical Juncture and the Geopolitical Turn in EU’s Enlargement Policy: A Perspective of the Candidate Countries’ Elites.”

The presentation took place within the panel “Eastern European Enlargement Under War and Uncertainty.” The paper explored how the war in Ukraine has reshaped the EU’s enlargement policy, highlighting the views and perspectives of candidate countries’ elites.
